Good winds and sails. Thank you everyone.
Dear Skippers, Sailors & Friends,
On behalf of the event patron, chairman, commodore, council members, organiser and the city, we wish to thank each and every one on your contribution to the success of our inaugural sailing regatta. I wish to extend my warmest gratitude to all event executives, officers, juries, helpers, volunteers, team managers, coaches and parents for your presence and assistance. To the men and women in uniforms, and the city services team, you are all the reasons we felt we were in good hands, whom indeed had provide the settings and the perfect preparations for this awesome event.
To our sponsors and supporters, a huge 'terimakasih' from all of us from Putrajaya. There're talk on team racing, match racing and even one design fleet races now. The Putrajaya Sailing Week, 11-13 July 2008
The spirit of competition is enhanced by passion. That’s how we describe our upcoming Putrajaya Sailing Week, the city’s inaugural sailing regatta to be held from 11th until 13th July 2008. The event will be held at Precinct 6, overlooking the magnificent Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
This is the country’s first lake sailing regatta set against a backdrop of world class city. We are inviting everyone we know from across the nation and region to participate and visit us during this unique sailing event.
Seven years has passed by, and the Putrajaya city is geared up to become a great place to live in. With a rapidly growing population of 55,000, and 670,000 foreign tourist visits per year, coupled with 28 successful international events and 39 national events, the city is indeed flourishing. The city’s 650 hectares of lake water has witnessed numerous successful water based events over the years, and has been a great blessing to us.
With the promising Southwesterly wind in July, we expect over 170 sailboats on water racing to the finish line where winners will claim the splendid prizes we offer. We thank the Malaysian Yachting Association, for grading the event as the National Ranking Circuit ensuring a competitive and quality racing for all sailing classes and its participants.
We are privileged to have many great events held in Putrajaya, which are well known across the region, and we wish to earmark this sailing regatta as the city’s premiere sporting event, thanks to the organisers who are passionate and committed to host this annual regatta, and who are ever ready to provide competitors and visitors a truly memorable sailing occasion.

We officially have a blog!!!
Good day from Kelab Tasik Putrajaya! The marketing department of Kelab Tasik Putrajaya (KTP) has been meaning to make a presence in the blog world for quite awhile now, so we figured, why not start today. It is 8:40pm, 28 June 2008, and at the moment, hustle and bustle of a blissfull wedding reception at the lobby of the club is taking place whilst we jot down our first few words in this blog page. We would like to congratulate the celebrated couple, Syafiq and Salwa, and the mother of the groom cum host of the reception, Pn Shariffa Iesha Almasshor, may the couple be blessed with many many years of happiness and the joy of matrimony.
